Insider Profile | Eric Robinson | Producer 

San Francisco born producer/engineer/mixer/multi-instrumentalist/songwriter Eric Robinson’s first job in the music business was given to him by legendary Grammy-winning producer Steve Lillywhite.  Eric never anticipated that a short email to his hero would find him recording Phish and watching Lillywhite mix U2 at age 19. Since then, Eric has amassed a wealth of experience working alongside producers such as Marshall Altman, John Alagia, Ryan Tedder, Dan Wilson, Charlie Peacock, and Matt Hales (Aqualung).

 

Eric was nominated for a 2014 Grammy for Album of the Year for his engineering on Taylor Swift’s Red, which sold 1.2 million copies in its first week.  His recent projects include additional production/recording on Dan Wilson’s solo album, Love Without Fear, recording/mixing Michelle Branch for an upcoming release, mixing Sia’s “Kill and Run” for The Great Gatsby soundtrack, producing/recording/mixing/multi-instruments on Nikki Reed and Paul McDonald’s song “All I’ve Ever Needed” for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn: Part 2 soundtrack, and mixing Kina Grannis forthcoming album, Elements.

 

Eric produced/recorded/mixed The Milk Carton Kids critically praised debut album Prologue, recorded/mixed/guitar on Natasha Bedingfield’s album Strip Me, recorded/mixed Rachael Yamagata’s album Chesapeake, produced/recorded/mixed/multi-instruments/co-wrote several tracks for Justin Young’s album Makai, recorded Brooke Fraser’s album Flags, recorded Matt Nathanson’s album Some Mad Hope featuring the hit single “Come On Get Higher”, and recorded/mixed/guitar for The Silent Comedy feat. Boyd Tinsley.

 

Currently, Eric’s in the studio producing and mixing Matt White as well as a Christmas song for Lily Kershaw.
