Roland Kluger's experience and expertise in the music industry, from managing music and master rights, makes him a natural in the field of acquisition, monetisation, strategic investments in France and Europe. His career began in the 1960s in Brussels, where he co-managed his father, Jacques Kluger’s publishing business, World Music and Palette Records. A respected music mogul in his own right, he established offices in Paris, London, and New York—an uncommon achievement for a Brussels-based company at the time. Also his friend Peter Waterman. In the publishing field, he's partnered with industry giants such as MCA, Screen Gems,Peer Music. As a publisher, he was an active member of PROs like Sacem and Sabam, serving as president of the Belgian Publishers Association for 20 years. In collaboration with the late Lou Deprijck, RKM produced global hits like "Ça plane pour moi" by Plastic Bertrand, "Jungle Fever" by Chakachas, and "Disco Samba" by Two Man Sound—all of which achieved platinum and gold records. On the local Belgian market, he developed Flemish talents, Jimmy Frey "Rozen voor Sandra," Ann Christy, and the early works of Raymond van het Groenewoud. His contributions to the industry were recognized in 2016 with the Midem Lifetime Achievement Award, an honor bestowed upon professionals who have made significant contributions to the music industry over decades, akin to a plaque on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but in Cannes! Innovation has always driven his work. He co-founded Télé Achat with Pierre Bellemare, pioneering the home shopping format in France and expanding it to markets like China—demonstrating my entrepreneurial spirit and adaptability in the entertainment industry. Since 2022, as a broker and strategic advisor, He's overseen the entire transaction process, from initial negotiations to final signings. Today, he's particularly intrigued by the future impact of AI on the acquisition and sale of music assets, especially how it will influence the value and cash flow of music rights. His focus remains on preserving and enhancing these assets. As music to his ears, He is deeply thankful for the unwavering support of his wife, Rolande. A trained dentist, Rolande practiced for several years before focusing on raising our two children while he was often on the road or in the studio for late sessions.
