Insider Profile | Paul Sims | Music Licensing

Paul Sims has been licensing digital music since the very earliest days of its initial inception. A key early move was introducing Universal and Warner Music to the positive benefit of ringtones by using the back covers of CD to reach fans of the artists. Paul followed that up with Executive Director roles at Webtv and DX3 (the first legal digital music store in Europe). Upon selling DX3, Paul negotiated the world's first unlimited MP3 download service for Datz.

For the last six years Paul has headed up music and licensing at the world's largest crowd sourced agency MOFILM, which inspires film-makers to create videos for big brands, transforming the video creation industry by connecting brands more directly with film-makers and eliminating multiple layers of bureaucracy and administration. MOFILM is dedicated to helping filmmakers get discovered, get famous and get well paid for their talent while providing brands with innovative advertising and video content. MOFILM boasts a client list including Coca Cola, Unilever, Diageo, Chevrolet and Playstation.
