Michèle lives in Los Angeles, California and is originally from New York
City.
Michèle always knew from as far back as she can remember, she wanted to
be involved in Music. Michèle started singing and performing in public at
the age of 5 and then began writing poetry and songs. Michèle moved to
Tucson, Arizona after high school to study Creative Writing and Music at
the University of Arizona. While in Tucson Michèle fronted a successful
local rock band which traveled all across the Southwest playing gigs,
before setting her sights to the next step, moving to California. Once in Los
Angles Michèle quickly formed another band and became the lead singer,
producer and songwriter of the project, which was a performance art
ensemble featuring films, slide shows and actors performing skits
accompanying the music. During that time Michele also worked for the
production company FALLOUT FILMS & produced such videos as DO
FRIES GO WITH THAT SHAKE for GEORGE CLINTON, ,“SOMETHING TO
BELIEVE IN” for the RAMONES “INSTITUTIONALIZED” for SUICIDAL
TENDENCIES and “JET FIGHTER” for THE 3’OCLOCK, among others.
Michèle’s first outside songwriting cut was performed by SAM MOORE (of
acclaimed Sam & Dave) and JUNIOR WALKER for the feature film
“TAPEHEADS” starring Sam & Junior as well as TIM ROBBINS & JOHN
CUSACK. Her first professional music production and next cut came
shortly after when she produced SAM MOORE for the feature film “CAR
54:WHERE ARE YOU?” starring FRAN DRESCHER & ROSIE O’DONNELL.
Not soon after that Michèle was taken under the wing of hit maker producer
NILE RODGERS (CHIC/ DAFT PUNK/ MADONNA/ROD STEWART, etc.) who
mentored her, wrote with her and introduced her to some young writers he
was working with. Together they penned the world- wide hit song
“CONTRIBUTION” for MICA PARIS feat. Rappers ERIC B. and RAKEIM (also
the title of her second album). With this song climbing the charts Michèle
signed a major publishing deal with LIONEL CONWAY at ISLAND MUSIC
PUBLISHING and was on her way...
Michèle works out of her own studio Sweetersongs East in Santa Monica
Ca. for her production company MOB FORCE PRODUCTIONS and
continues to enjoy her passion for producing, writing and publishing music.
She is married to hit maker - acclaimed Producer /Engineer Harry Maslin
(DAVID BOWIE, AIR SUPPLY/ MICHAEL JACKSON/ BAY CITY ROLLERS/
