Vincent Degiorgio is a music lover.

In building Cymba Music Publishing, his vision is to replicate the golden era of going to a record store and somehow finding exactly what you are looking for.

His love of music was founded in his childhood home, influenced by his father’s acute ear for a hit. It began a decades long love affair with songwriters and producers, not to mention his obsession with arrangers that continues today.

Vince’s resume includes record label owner, renowned club DJ, remixer, producer and songwriter. His creations how led him to writing seminal classics for the likes of HiNRG dance artists like Tapps, dance-pop hitmakers Love Inc. and retro-twisted chart toppers for the likes of Caro Emerald from the Netherlands.

The winner of 4 SOCAN # 1 awards, dozens of gold and platinum awards and an IFPI “Million Album Award”, his songs have been placed in innumerable film and TV productions from trailers for the Julie Delpy/Chris Rock feature “Two Days In New York”, Disney’s “Chimpanzee”, Canada’s Drag Race and a host of international advertisements for Citroen, Orange Mobile and two different TV themes in Japan.

He was also responsible for signing N Sync to RCA Records, where he held the position of VP, International A&R. Vince also spearheaded the label A&R side for the American debut of the Queer As Folk franchise, producing a cover version of “High School Confidential” for LGBTQ icon, Carole Pope in the process.

Today, Vince oversees Cymba’s operations, with a focus on cultivating the brilliant talent of its roster, led by the Juno Award winning alternative band, Monowhales.. He also helms its sister company, Intercym, home to the international catalogues Cymba is proud to represent from South Africa, France, Finland, Italy and Sweden.

Vince recently completed a multi-term position as Chair of the Music Publishers Canada and was recently re-elected to the board. Vince is a member of the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame board of directors.

When not sleeping at his computer, Vince is an obsessive tennis and hockey fan and lives for golden age movie soundtracks, Philly Soul and jazz. His desk will always have a Stacey Kent or Wes Montgomery album somewhere on it.
