At the turn of the century, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Robert Takacs set out on a project to make the kind of music he wanted to hear, combining his love for all things heavy and electronic with a deep respect for the art of songwriting. With influences ranging from Nine Inch Nails, Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson to KISS, Queen and The Beatles, Edges of Seven (Eo7) has always been about the song. In the ensuing years Eo7 saw its share of lineup changes, ultimately resulting in the current seven-headed juggernaut that is tearing up Vancouver stages: Robert (keys, guitar, backup vox, programming), Corey Hunt (keys, programming), Steve Booth (bass), dual lead guitarists Mark S and Si6 and drummer Justin Krem are joined by front man AmAlien. Born and raised in Sri Lanka before relocating to Canada at the age of 13, AmAlien has been involved with a multitude of projects, most notably six years with the critically acclaimed Prox. Eo7's debut video for the recently released single "Infinity" has gained much attention, especially in Hollywood with the movie world: Eo7 has been tapped to provide soundtrack material for a major motion picture to be released in 2014.
